Sue Pomeroy Lamanis's
Windsor Locks Library Story

I have been an avid reader since early childhood. I remember checking out the max of 14 books at a time which I would finish in one week. I would read in bed with a flashlight and often get up at 5AM to read. I never travel without a stack of paperbacks. One time security went through my suspicious luggage only to find it filled with with paperback books to last through my cruise. In my senior year of high school I took an English class called Reader's Choice. I finished the requirements in a month and spent the rest of the semester leisure reading.

The Windsor Locks Public Library has been important to me my entire life. Where else but here would I volunteer my time reshelving books and looking out for a missed next read. The original gazebo was build by my son Brandon in 2004 for his Boy Scout Eagle Project.
